What
used to be Albion House is formally now known as 30 James street
– home of the Titanic, last year I had arranged an interview with the owner of
the build, Lawrence Kenwright unfortunelty he was unable to attend the
interview but that resulted into me having my very own personal tour of 30
James street which still hadn’t been opened to the public! ( I know who did I think
I am having my own personal tour!) although it was still under construction it was amazing!
This building had been unoccupied for years so when I got
speaking to one of the builders I was dying to know if anything had been left
by the previous occupiers, he then showed me these two original copper names plates that had been left (Blue Star Line and Lambert and Hope) baring in mind these copper plates are a piece of history I felt pretty special having the chance to hold it also making sure I didn't go and drop it.
Ever
since it opened officially to the public I have been dying to get down and see
how it looks completely finished! So what better way to start the weekend off
then a Friday fun-day having afternoon tea, I was in my element, never mind the
champagne you could have unlimited tea!
Unlimited tea is perfect if you are a tea addict like myself! but it was Friday the sun was out, champagne was going down a treat (do i need anymore excuses) so the drinks didn't stop there, out came the drinks menu, top of the list Liverpool Gin, if you haven't tried it then you have too!! you will not be disappointed!
Carpathia Champagne Bar is situated on the very top floor of the building with its very own rooftop bar,you have views of the Three Graces, River Mersey and Albert Dock what more could you want while visiting the city!
