2016 it's been a pleasure from blogging at fashion events to becoming an auntie for the very first time, I've met people by chance who now play a big part in my life I'm grateful for everything that's happened this year! Here's to an even better 2017 ... Happy New Year to all my fashionistas near and far ❤️🍾✨

Beach Blanket Babylon

After the hustle and bustle of the two hour journey down to London, we'd  worked up an appetite, I for sure felt like I could eat my body weight in food but that could of also been because I had too many vinos the night before!

So a weekend in London wouldn't be the same without a trip to Beach Blanket Babylon situated in the heart of Notting Hill this place is a hidden gem but once there you will not be disappointed!

After a slight detour and photo shoot walking thought Notting Hill I mean it would be rude not to while in the city!

We finally arrived, slightly late for our reservation but never the less the staff where on hand to show us to our table and to offer us a well needed drink, this place is unreal I felt like id gone back in time with the décor being a little out there!

even the front doors where something else if only we had one of these gems up North it would be my second home!

I had to make one of the most important decisions id make that day, what do I get to eat? at this point I could literally eat double my body weight! but I couldn't resist Pancakes... pancakes with flowers may I add, I know right, who do I think I am

Now I don't know if I made a good decisions there as since getting home I have craved pancakes but they just don't live up to Beach Blanket Babylon style so I will 100% be retuning, sooner rather than later I hope!

I mean it would be rude not to, right?!

Sketch is out of this world AMAZING! pictures just don't seem to give it much justice although it still looks pretty damn good!

So what better way to spend you Saturday evening than with your side kick bestie wining and dining in one of the most instagrammed places in London!

We had an evening reservation in the gallery aka the pink room! we literally felt like we'd gone back in time, the décor was something you could only dream of,
you spent half of the evening in ore of the place just taking it all in!

Dressed to the nine we headed straight to the bar while waiting for our table, it was a Saturday night after all!

Even the menu was out of this word, the attention to detail was fabulous!

I opted for the sketch fish and chips (with a twist) it actually came with no chips! maybe that was the twist? but never the less it was the best fish and none chips I have ever had!

I have seen so many post across social media on how unreal the toilets in this place are, I don't think I have ever been so excited to actually go and witness what all the fuss was about and as expected they lived up to the expectation, I have never gone to the toilets to literally find myself dodging everyone's 'toilet selfie' it was like the norm no one batted an eyelid!

So there you have it Sketch you are one of a kind restaurant and I cant wait to be back in the city so I can try out the other rooms they have to offer!

Ever visiting London then make sure you get that reservation booked in early doors or you could be sadly disappointed this is one popular destination in the city!

two words that literally makes us flap, here at Off the Peg we had to over come this situation just recently

Ok, so your going away for a weekend its that time of year when you pack for cooler weather so outcomes your winter wardrobe but summer makes an appearance one last time? yeah the struggle is real!

so what do you do, pack everything, just in case! sound familiar? we too are guilty

It's bad enough if its just a weekend away but what if its an occasion, there's your hair, make up, outfit, bags the list is endless how are you suppose to pack lightly!

here's how we got on...

First of we will start with the travel attire

While traveling you want to be comfortable, I mean there is nothing more annoying that being in the tightest pair of pants, yeah they look amazing at first but 2 hours into the journey and your just not feeling them as much, we hear you! so for this weekend we opted for those faux leather pants, but actually they are jeans, sneaky hay! not only do they look good they are super comfy! win, win.

They are all over the high street this season and a must have versatile item you need in your wardrobe, casual chic - evening glamour with just a change of shoes or top!

Shoe wise was a tough one, it wasn't cold enough for boots and trainers looked too casual so we opted for a pair of khaki lace up heeled shoes, these were one of those buys by chance and even better they where in the sale so we just couldn't say no!

With it being in between seasons and the weather not knowing what it's doing deciding on a jacket was harder than it should be! this little gem was a last year find in Zara since purchasing it we have also spotted celebs working the exact same cape!

So there you have it! a versatile wardrobe will save you from the struggle of packing everything you own!

Michael Kors hosts a fabulous event for Barclays giving their customers a private shopping experience showcasing this seasons new collection

Guest got a chance to shop the latest trends and this seasons must haves!
staff were on hand throughout the night to showcase their expertise by styling guests from head to toe!

Hollyoaks stars Sophie Porley and Amrit Maghera who play Ellie Nightingale and Neeta Kaur in the show also attended 

What better way to kick start the evening than to have TV presenter, Model and DJ in the building
 If you haven't already seen her on TV then you've no doubt seen her modeling for the likes of New Look, IDOL and Olivia Rubin
By night you will find Zara Matin DJ-ing at the most talked about parties our event being one in particular

Happy Very Belated New Year

Hello Fashionistas 

 Its been some time since I last wrote a post but fear not I am back and can't wait to share all what I have been up to! But firstly I would like to wish all my fashionistas a Happy (very belated) New Year! 

New Year, New Me, no, no, no my darlings I for one cant stand all of that but I do like to look back over the year and reflect on all what has happened and what a year 2015 had been!

So turn the clock back to November 2014 this is when Off the Peg first came to me, I have always loved fashion, and writing so I thought why not combine the both and make a blog, since then I couldn't of anticipated what 2015 had in store.

And now  Off the Peg is officially 1 year old 

So here's to 2016

The Face Doctor

Recently  Off the Peg was invited to the launch evening of The Face Doctor, Bubbly, cakes and beauty products  do I need much more to tempt me?!

The Face Doctor is situated just opposite the entrance to John Lewis   (Lower Peel avenue)

We were met by the lovely Gemma who introduced us to the world of medical rejuvenation treatments & high quality skincare products.

 I underestimated how many treatments The Face Doctor actually do from manicures, face fillers to massages you are literally spoilt for choice, the list is endless!

During the evening we got to witness a vein removal process carried out with the use of Thermal Vein technology the result was very impressive and totally safe with no side effects.

 We also got given a goodie bag full of products to try, these smelt incredible  I for sure will be making a trip back to purchase more I can’t get enough of the body creams!

DINING WITH MISS KITTY

What better way to start your weekend than dining with Miss Kitty, this certainly is a hidden gem! 

The vibe at Miss Kitty's has been described by its owner Rob Gutmann as being like a Shanghai tea house/opium den.

Walking up the stairs, past a neon silhouette of a reclining lady, I was pleasantly surprised at how spacious it is up there still with an intimate dining space.

The dim lighting, wood sleepers and bird cages certainly add to the atmosphere!

we were seated and handed a menu, of course I went straight to the cocktails and rightly so I had heard so much about them I had to try one for myself! 

we were also given a free pot of jasmine tea this was a nice touch! Chinese food a pot of tea and a cocktail, I was in my element,  I mean who wouldn't be! 

       

 Situated along Fleet street we left behind the shabby streets of Liverpool and 

dinned orient at dark 

I look forward to dinning with Miss kitty again! 

London Life

London, What a city!

You could spend a lifetime here and would still feel you haven’t experienced everything it has to offer!  You could literally never get bored!

I suppose London is like Marmite you either love or hate it, if you can get past the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

There is always so much to do and not enough hours in the day to explore it all! So whenever I’m in town I like to explore new places.

 A week ago now I was  in London for my birthday and what better way to celebrate then being wined and dined at Heston Blumenthal Restaurant if that wasn't enough to woo you then the  views certainly would (Hyde Park as a backdrop) …I know it’s not your typical Saturday night meal!!

 Heston's food certainly lived up to expectations! All is not what it appears!! When it comes to food I do always like to try new things and embrace where I am!  A must have when you are dining at Heston’s is the most talked about Meat Fruit it looks exactly like a mandarin!

     So London it’s been a pleasure as always, until next time! 

Cheltenham Ladies Day

When I found out Off the Peg had been chosen to attend Cheltenham Ladies Day as a blogger I was over the moon, this was our first ever blogging event!

 The morning of the races was an early start but after a big breakfast and a glass of champagne (it would be rude not too) I was ready for the day ahead! Let the traveling commence 2.5 hours later and we finally arrived in Cheltenham making our way to the Etail-PR offices where we were greeted with another glass of champagne and met the Etail-PR team who were absolutely lovey and very welcoming!

Finally we arrived at the racecourse! Although the sun didn’t make much of an appearance it didn’t stay dull for very long, as it was Ladies Day #ColourMeMarch thousands of women ascended upon the race course dressed to the nine, everywhere you looked it was an array of colours!

There’s something about the races, the atmosphere is amazing! You get some sort of buzz off everyone throughout the whole day, so as the races started the bets are coming in, now I wouldn’t say I make a habit of betting normally because I tend to loose every time! But Ladies Day I kept picking the winners, people kept asking me what tips I had (just picked the name I liked the look off) I think they thought I was joking!

As the last race was coming to a close so was my time at Cheltenham and what a fabulous day!      Off the Peg will certainly be making another appearance next year!
